Rain, rain, rain Minimize

I am usually pretty good about going with the flow when it comes to the weather (other than dealing with the cold which I am definitely a wimp!) but I have absolutely had it with all this rain.  I have barely seen the sun in over a month now and I am feeling it.  This weekend I ran the Broad Street Run 10-miler and of course it rained.  On the bright side (no pun intended) it was much better than the last race, the Doylestown Du.   At least I didn't have to bike.  The race was really crowded this year with over 27,000 people.  I got to the start with barely enough time and wasn't able to push through the mobs of runners to get a good race position. It took me over 4minutes to cross the start line.  I was bummed but I was just doing this race for fun and to get in a good long workout so even though I wanted to run a good time I wasn't in full on race mode.  The race did go well although my legs were definitely feeling the effects of the long training week.  The part I love most about this race, running down Broad Street with City Hall in the background, was missed due to all the fog.  I was impressed however with all the spectators who still came out to cheer everyone on.  After the race I grabbed my dry clothes and headed home as quickly as possible.  All I wanted was a hot shower and to be dry. Today it rained again, all day.  Tomorrow the forecast is rain and the next day and the next day......
