SNOW DAY Minimize

Luck for me I got a snow day today. It’s always nice to get some unscheduled free time although I have a list a mile long of stuff to do so it’s not really that too relaxing. And last week was by far the furthest thing from relaxing. It was my first week at my new job and it was crazy hard! They threw so much information at me and had me in so many unfamiliar situations that I have never been so glad to see Friday night in my life. I’ve never started a new job that was this stressful and I never realized how much of an effect stress has on your body. I’m not usually the kind of person that gets stressed out so this was pretty unfamiliar to me. It sucked! I woke up with a sense of dread every morning, felt exhausted from the minute I woke up, and on the rare occasion that I could drag myself out to workout I felt awful. I had one thing that kept me going through the week- knowing that once I got up to speed with all this information I would really like the job. By Friday I even had a few fleeting moments of confidence and enjoyment. So Monday came (although much too quickly) and I had regrouped, calmed down and was ready to face the work world again. Then I woke up to 6inches of snow and no work. Ha! I’m not complaining. At my old job I would have had to go in to work regardless of the weather and sit around with nothing to do. My new job IS better!

Hee, I have to chuckle just a bit at "snow days' out there! I have NEVER in all my life (when I worked out of the house) had a snow day and that includes days of 20+" of snow. Oh, chicago! Anyway, glad you are adapting to the new job - it is SO hard isn't it? hang in there! We are almost to much warmer weather! :))
