I thought about writing a quick note here and there but somehow never managed to. Too bad but I was way too busy having fun. I did manage to get all my Christmas shopping done, eat way too many Christmas cookies, drink way too much wine, and spend way too much time in the car running errands and going to families houses for the holidays. I did not manage to get all my workouts in but I did pretty well. I think I only missed a few swim workouts (which I really didn’t mind, I never do!). However, even though I did get most of workouts in I really wasn’t focused on them. It was just sort of like get them over with so I can get on with all the other things I have to do. But today, it’s back to work and back to serious training (and hopefully back to blogging a little more often!). On that note, I got up at the ridiculous hour of 5:30AM (I am not even close to a morning person) to go to a yoga class. It really wasn’t has hard as I thought it would be but I’m not fooled. I know the next time it is going to suck! But right now I’m taking advantage of my large amounts of motivation. That’s the thing I love about the start of a new year. It always gives you the sense of starting with a clean slate even if you don’t believe in making official resolutions. I always make resolutions even though I know that most of them I will break (like trying to be time). But there are things I do change, mostly small things, and I still feel it helps me to become a better person and be happier with myself. In my crazed state of super motivation, I also told my coach to give me lots and lots of long, hard workouts over the next few weeks. I’m thinking I might be regretting that….
